Guest Writer Oliver Straight – Jackpot Dining

Food is something we eat, food is something we cook, and food is something we enjoy; however food is something we need to survive. Humans must eat food to live otherwise we would all die, right? Although food is universally required, it not universally available, leaving 12.9% of the world’s population undernourished. Food is a fundamental human right, but everyone must pay for it and or work for it. What does this all mean?  That Food’s fucking expensive. I’m going to show you some great tucker that will tickle your tastebuds all the way to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate factory and back.

If you’re reading this article, you’re likely a poor Uni student who often finds themselves undernourished due to their poor-ness. Here’s some tucker for under $10.

To start off with, if you’re not worried about clogging your arteries and ultimately getting some colon cancer these are some good options.

You can either judge the value of a meal by your satisfaction of eating the mean itself, or the quantity of food compared to the price you payed.

If you’re more interested in having a cheap quality meal, I’d recommend a restaurant called Jackpot Dining. You can find these in most Australian Cities. The restaurant is Korean, however it’s not drastically different from other Eastern – Asia foods. They offer a variety of very cheap side dishes, and almost every full meal is $10 dollars. They also serve cheap drinks here such as VB and XXXX Gold if you want to have a drink. If you’re planning on cheeping out, their side dish offers some bang for your buck dishes.

I’d recommend Jackpot dining if you’re into Asian food and want to get something that’s delicious and genuinely surprisingly good value. If you live in Brisbane Jackpot Dining can be found on Elizabeth Street opposite the Myer centre. Fine dining at its best.

Stay Frugal, and remember to keep the Tucker Under 10.
